Old Quarter Coffee Merchants Ballina

Cafe$

Exceptional coffee is the standard at this small-batch roastery and cafe.

This specialty coffee expert has two outlets in the northern rivers: a roastery and cafe in Ballina and a simpler outlet in Murwillumbah serving drinks and a couple pastries. (There are two additional outlets over the border in Queensland.)

Exceptional coffee is the standard, but there’s also teas, matcha and chai, and a banging list of iced drinks, like the very good Vietnamese iced coffee with condensed milk and a French mint chocolate (single origin chocolate, mint, milk, ice and topped with cream). The cafe in Ballina serves toasties, a breaky wrap and, if you want breakfast in liquid form, many smoothies.
