And with that, a thrilling group stage ends. Germany are out, the 'fair play' tiebreaker was used for the first time and there so very, very many late goals and penalties. 

Japan and Colombia were the last two teams to punch their tickets to the last 16, as results fell their way in Group H. Samurai Blue lost 1-0, but Colombia's 1-0 win over Senegal meant the Japanese snuck through via the 'fair play' table due to having fewer yellow cards than their African adversaries. 

A farcical last few minutes against Poland ensued as the Japanese players clearly knew the situation and just passed the ball around the back, but either way, they're through. 

In the final group stage matches, England's reserves were beaten 1-0 by Belgium's reserves in a game that neither nation's fans would be particularly fussed about winning.  

Full Time: Tunisia 2, Panama 1

Hard luck for the Panamanians as a last-second free kick is saved and that will be that. 

They started brightly and took a 1-0 lead but couldn't go on with it and join Egypt as the only two teams not to register a point at the tournament.

Panama still pushing for a late equaliser as Anibal Godoy shanks one wide. They've got a couple more minutes to try and find it as there was quite a lot of stoppages in this second half.

Full Time: Belgium 1, England 0

Belgium top the group, thanks to that brilliant goal from Adnan Januzaj.

The first half was pretty bad but the second was entertaining, with plenty of action at both ends. The final 16 is locked in now with England playing Colombia and Belgium playing Japan. 

Superb save from Pickford!

So nearly 2-0! The substitue Dries Mertens blasts one across the face of Jordan Pickford and unlike the first where he got a glove to it but couldn't keep it out, this time he parries strongly.

It keeps England in the contest, but only just as we close in on stoppage time.

A dangerous set piece is headed over and England are running out of time - a draw would be enough for them to top the group, but as we've discussed, I'm not sure they really want to. 

A win would put them in line for a quarter-final against Brazil if they got past Japan in the round of 16, and a semi-final against one of Uruguay, Portugal, France and Argentina. 

A loss and they play a Colombia team that probably won't feature James Rodriguez before taking on either Switzerland or Sweden and then one of Croatia, Denmark, Russia or Spain.

A cracking goal for Panama but it's chalked off!

What a hit that was - but Luis Tejada is judged to have fouled Meriah in the build up and so Edgar Barcenas's cracking strike into the top corner counts for nothing. Brutal for Panama. 

Still 1-0 to Belgium in the other game with England looking set for that runner's up spot unless they can find an equaliser. 

By the way, this was the true highlight of Belgium's goal - sorry Januzaj.

Tunisia take the lead!

Panama's resistance is broken in that other game - a nice move down the left saw substitute Anice Badri slide it through for the overlapping Oussama Haddadi who squared it to the back post for Khazri to tap into the open goal.

Tunisia take the lead after being down 1-0 and look good value to finish third in the group. Panama have just over 20 minutes to find an equaliser and avoid going home without a point. 

 

63 minutes gone, 1-0 Belgium, 1-1 in the other game

A great save by Jaime Penedo of Panama but he wore it in the face and has stayed down injured - he came out to claim a cross and missed it before the rebounding ball smashes him in the head via the boot of Ben Youssef.

In the other game, Rashford has just missed a sitter - he's but clean through on goal in the middle and he tries to finesse it around the keeper, but it takes a touch on the way through and is out for a corner - great save from Courtois but the Manchester United forward should really have buried that.

Now a goal for Tunisia

Well it's all happening at the minute - a nice move sees Sliti pick up the ball centrally and find Wahbi Khazri on the right, who calmly rolls it across the face of goal to Fakhreddine Ben Youssef who pokes home.

We're all square there as Trent Alexander-Arnold smashes a free kick into the Belgian wall.
