Defiant Eels coach Brad Arthur insists he is still the man to revive faltering Parramatta despite a Magic Round bloodbath, which included Cameron Munster adding to the glaring State of Origin injury crisis.
Arthur, who two years ago led Parramatta to the grand final, is facing arguably the biggest test of his career since rebuilding the club after a 2016 salary cap scandal. The Eels crashed to their sixth loss in seven games without star halfback Mitchell Moses.
It will make for an uncomfortable week for the blue-and-golds, who were torn apart by a Munster-less Melbourne in the second half during a 48-16 flogging at Suncorp Stadium on Sunday.
Asked if he thinks he is still the man for the job, Arthur said: “I do. The facts will be there at the end of the year.
