Around 30 concealed packages containing cocaine have been seized by Australian Border Force following a search of a luxury bus in Fremantle.

Using a combination of targeted intelligence, physical search, detector dogs and advanced technology after homing in on what is known as a roll-on/roll-off vessel, Border Force seized 34 kilograms of the drug that were concealed in the roof cavity of the bus.

Presumptive testing returned a positive result for cocaine, with an estimated weight of 34 kilograms.

An ABF spokesman said the amount of cocaine, had it reached the Australian community, had an estimated street value of up to $11 million, with the potential for 170,000 street-level deals.
