Fire engulfs home in Brisbane westside suburb

A man has been transported to hospital for smoke inhalation after a Jindalee home went up in flames on Monday afternoon.

Fire crews arrived at the Capitol Drive home just after 2pm to find the property "well involved".

"About four firefighters in breathing apparatus [then] conducted an internal structural attack," a Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said.

Footage from the scene showed flames and dark smoke rising from the collapsed roof of the single-storey brick home. All persons in the home were accounted for.

Four crews remained on the scene attempting to extinguish the blaze at 2.30pm. A fire investigator has also been called to the property.

Paramedics transported one man to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital for smoke inhalation in a stable condition.
